
Liliana Alvarez is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eduardo and Rosa Alvarez. She is the niece of Border Olympics Board Member, Angel Peguero. She attended United High School and was ranked in the top 15% of her graduating class of 2024. While attending high school, Liliana worked hard and was able to complete her Associate’s Degree at Laredo College. She was in the Early Start Pathway program, which offers students the opportunity to receive college credit hours; however, determined Liliana completed her credits by attending college courses every summer, and throughout the remainder of her high school career. She was recognized by United High School for being the 1st student to have completed their Associates Degree, as well as receiving recognition from the United Independent School District for being the 3rd student district-wide to graduate with this honor on her own. She was also a 3-year member of the National Honor Society Association. She also graduated with three medical certifications in Basic Life Support, EKG Technician, and Patient Care Technician. She is now a transferring junior at Texas A&M International University. She is currently studying to complete her Bachelors Degree in Science of Biology. While studying at Texas A&M International University, she also joined the Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Incorporation. This sorority focuses on supporting women of distinction by following factors that contribute to their core values being; academics, community service, cultural awareness, social interaction, morals and ethics. She then hopes to pursue medical school in Dallas, Texas; where she wishes to complete her Doctoral Degree. Liliana aspires to set her career and become a Pediatric Oncologist.
