  • UNIVERSITY GOLF

    The Collegiate Golf Tournament, started in 1952, is the longest running collegiate golf tournament in the United States. The tournament is held in late February to Early March every year at the Laredo Country Club.   • BASEBALL

    The Boys Baseball Tournament began in 1987 and has grown into one of the largest high school baseball tournaments in Texas. The tournament has included up to 50 teams from all across the State of Texas. It has consistently hosted some of the State’s Regional Champions and State Champions and is one of the most sought-after tournaments in the State. The tournament is held at the end of February and is hosted on up to 10 baseball fields across the Gateway City.

  • GIRLS SOFTBALL

    Beginning in 2002, the Girls Softball Tournament brings over 20 Teams from all Divisions all over South Texas. A competitive tournament year in and year out, it brings over 200 student athletes, coaches and fans to the City.

  • TENNIS

    The Tennis Tournament began in 1976 and continues to be a premier tournament in South Texas.  The tournament includes over 20 teams and is held over two days across many courts in the Gateway City.  The Tournament takes place at the end of February.

  • TRACK & FIELD

    The Original Border Olympics sporting event and one of the longest running track meets in the Country, the track and field meet began in 1932. The meet brings over 30 teams to Laredo and is one of the premier meets in South Texas. The track meet takes place at the beginning of March every year, in line with Texas Independence Day.

  • CROSS COUNTRY

    The Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country Meet is the newest tournament to the Border Olympics Family. Starting in 2018, the cross country meet is held in late August and is kicking off the Cross Country season for high schools all across South Texas. The meet includes both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams and includes more than 700 student athletes.

  • SWIMMING AND DIVING

    The swimming & diving meet was inaugurated in 2023 with over 700 student athletes from all over south Texas. The meet is held at the United I.S.D. Carroll E. Summers Jr. Aquatic center.

  • GIRLS BASKETBALL

    The Girls Basketball Tournament brings top-notched teams from all over South Texas to the Gateway City. The tournament includes over 20 teams and is held the weekend after Thanksgiving.

  • BOYS BASKETBALL

    Starting in 2002, the Boys Basketball Tournament has grown into a highly-competitive tournament that includes teams from South and Central Texas. Past tournament champions have gone on to qualify for the Regional Tournament, State Tournament and even has included some State Champions. The tournament is held the weekend after Thanksgiving.

  • GIRLS SOCCER

    The Girls Soccer Tournament began in 2004 and takes place the first weekend of the year. The tournament includes over 16 teams from all over South Texas competing on several fields throughout the Gateway City.

  • BOYS SOCCER

    The Boys Soccer Tournament is making its return to Border Olympics in 2023. The tournament will take place in mid-January and will include teams from all over South Texas competing on several fields throughout the Gateway City.

  • HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS GOLF

    The Girls Golf Tournament is a two-day event that includes over 16 teams from across the Region. The Girls compete for both Individual Medalist and Team Championships. The Girls Golf Tournament takes place in early Fall.

  • HIGH SCHOOL BOYS GOLF

    The Boys Golf Tournament is a two-day event that includes over 16 teams from across the Region. The Boys compete for both Individual Medalist and Team Championships. The Tournament is a two-day event and takes place on two different courses; the Max Mandel Golf Course and the Laredo Country Club. The Boys Golf Tournament takes place in February.
